About UEG

UEG, or United European Gastroenterology, is a professional non-profit organisation combining all the leading European medical specialist and national societies focusing on digestive health. The mission of UEG is to improve the prevention and care of digestive diseases in Europe through providing education, supporting research and improving clinical standards. Position Overview

We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Managers to join the Education and Scientific Programme department of UEG. The positions offer a unique opportunity to gain in-depth hands-on experience in project and association management of a prestigious European medical society. You will work closely with other team members and collaborate with medical doctors in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and other healthcare professionals on a daily basis

Key Responsibilities

As valued members of our dynamic team, you will support various tasks and projects, including:

  • Preparing for, participating in, and following up on meetings with volunteer-led boards, e.g. the UEG Education -, Quality of Care - or Scientific Committee.
  • Documenting meeting minutes, preparing reports, and creating professional presentations.
  • Assisting with the organization of in-person educational events.
  • Management of the scientific programme of UEG Week, e.g. Faculty invitation process, abstract management, notification and submitters communication.
  • Contributing to diverse projects, including the dissemination and implementation of clinical practice guidelines and quality standards.
  • Administering grant programs and managing associated documentation.

Your Profile

We are looking for young talents who are enthusiastic about contributing to impactful projects in a multicultural, volunteer-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Relevant work experience, professional training, or equivalent education in a similar role.
  • A strong interest in working with senior academics and volunteer-led boards.
  • A fast-learning mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Substantial project management and organizational skills
  • Profound communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with an efficient and structured working style.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A positive personality with team spirit and sociability.
  • Business-level fluency in English (oral and written); German language skills are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
