Information Security & Systems Support Junior Specialist (m/f/d)

Vienna, AT | Full-time | Regular hours

We need your energy to:

  • Configure and maintain laptops, accounts, and network devices with secure baselines
  • Monitor and analyse SIEM, endpoint, and email security alerts, correlating events across platforms
  • Support incident response (detection, documentation, containment, escalation)
  • Manage identity and access for onboarding/offboarding with least privilege
  • Apply patching, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint protection to reduce risks
  • Maintain security documentation (inventory, access records, incident logs) for audit readiness
  • Support compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2) through risk assessments, audits, and reporting
  • Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization

You bring the following qualifications:

  • A least 1-2 years in IT security, systems administration, or security operations
  • Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Knowledge of Windows/macOS administration and endpoint security
  • Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, email security)
  • Understanding of core security principles: least privilege, secure configs, defence-in-depth
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Clear communication and documentation abilities
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Language Requirements: English - Professional working proficiency, German - Independent working proficiency.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2 or similar frameworks
  • Hands-on with vulnerability management, patching, endpoint protection
  • Basic knowledge of network security and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Exposure to incident response workflows or security audits
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365, Atlassian, or similar platforms

Salary

The actual minimum salary is 3,000 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis), the actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. The salary is paid 14 times per year. The collective agreement Informationstechnologie, Datenverarbeitung (IT) applies.

In line with the "Collective Agreement for Employees of Companies in the Field of Automatic Data Processing and Information Technology Services", we offer a competitive salary.
